Kim Kardashian Was Crying So Hard When She Called Kanye West With Baby News That He Thought Something Terrible Had Happened

Sometimes, one phone call can change two people’s lives forever. For Kim Kardashian and Kanye West, the moment they learned they were expecting their first child was filled with emotions neither of them could have anticipated. What should have been a happy announcement began with so much crying that Kanye reportedly feared the worst.

At the time, Kim and Kanye had been dating for only seven months. Their relationship was still relatively new, and the idea of becoming parents together was a major turning point. Although both were already familiar with fame and public attention, starting a family would bring a completely different set of responsibilities.

Kim later shared that discovering she was pregnant came as a huge surprise. She had previously been told by doctors that getting pregnant might be difficult, leading her to believe she could need fertility treatment to have a baby. Because of that experience, she was not expecting the news to arrive so soon.

According to her account, she became pregnant just one month after stopping birth control. When she realized what was happening, the emotions overwhelmed her. She picked up the phone and called Kanye, but she was crying so intensely that he misunderstood the situation.

Instead of immediately realizing that she was sharing pregnancy news, Kanye reportedly thought someone in Kim’s family had died. Imagine answering a phone call from someone you love, hearing them sob uncontrollably, and having no idea whether something terrible has happened.
