After Tyler’s father left when he was six, his mother raised him alone. She worked hard to make sure her son always felt loved, supported, and secure despite growing up without his father.

After graduating, Tyler found his first full-time job at a neighborhood hardware store. Soon, one coworker’s name began appearing in almost every conversation: Richard, a 50-year-old employee Tyler had quickly grown close to.

“Richard is different, Mom,” Tyler often said. “He actually listens to me.”

At first, Tyler’s mother was happy that her son had found someone he trusted. She even wondered whether Richard had become the father figure Tyler had missed growing up.

But their friendship gradually became much more intense.

Richard invited Tyler to his home almost every weekend, and Tyler frequently chose spending time with him over plans with his mother. The growing closeness made her increasingly uncomfortable.

She didn’t want to judge someone without knowing him, so when Tyler suggested inviting Richard to dinner, she agreed.

Richard arrived at six and initially seemed friendly and respectful. The evening went smoothly until Tyler briefly left the room to show Richard something.

While his son was gone, Richard followed Tyler’s mother into the kitchen.

His expression suddenly changed.

He looked toward the hallway before quietly saying, “It’s time you learned what I really want from your son.”

She froze.

Then Richard added something that made her realize their relationship might have a completely different purpose than she had imagined.

So what was Richard really after—and why had he become so close to Tyler in the first place?

My Son Spent All His Free Time With a 50-Year-Old Coworker—Then He Told Me What He Really Wanted After Tyler’s father left when he was six,...

[1

post-2649","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-uncategorized
["GET
